Re: [IRCA] 1611 kHz UnID in Kona, Hawaii

Hi Gary,
Maybe Chris can help out more. When I tuned to a remote SDR from Manila, it
was picking up a weak English station, preaching perhaps, fading in and out
with another station, fyi.

This fairly strong station was received on 1611 kHz at 0855 UTC on December
19th during the Kona, Hawaii trip. Some Bible verses were read at the
beginning of the recording, so it certainly isn't one of the Hawaii TIS
stations on 1610. The strength of the station would seem to rule out the
low-power Australians, and the English has no DU accent. Maybe something
new in the Philippines?
