[IRCA] TP 10 Dec Victoria version
Conditions after 1500UT until about 1545UT were a mix of DU and
Asian, mostly low band, with a couple of NHK2 stations the
strongest. Around 1545UT, the upper band got a bit more
interesting, though the domestic splatter level throughout the whole
period seemed to make getting reasonable audio difficult.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not quite today
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB man in Japanese well over 3LO 1507UT
1566 HLAZ solo male vocal followed by man and woman in Chinese, 1557UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
702 2BL man talking, // 612 1515UT
828 JOBB man talking in Japanese 1500UT //774, no pips on hour
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 3WV bassy music, //612 and 774 at 1458UT; everything faded by the hour
594 music over man talking that was //612, 1517UT; assumed JOAK
612 4QR as 594 (above) 1458UT
774 3LO music //612 at 1458UT, and a few other times, riding along with JOUB
1116 man talking DU English intonation, 1501UT
1242 woman talking 1548UT, too much splash to guess language; likely JOLF
1557 man talking, Chinese intonation 1545UT
1593 CNR1 man talking //6125 1610UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
747 891 1269 1314 1323 1332 1422 1458 1503 seemed to be Asian;
792 846 882 891 1017 1098 1548 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
