[IRCA] Domestic MWDX to Enid OK, October 28-November 3, 2017

All times and dates strictly UT [4 hours ahead of `ELT` during EDT; when changing times one must also change the dates for events in the 00-04 UT period to the previous date by ELT].

Rx: mostly DX-398 with internal antenna only or PL-880; NRD-545 with ALA-330S inside E-W or inside randomwire N-S; Nissan stock caradio as specified; IC-R75 with E-W longwire. FRG-7 is no longer in use.

These logs are excerpts from my daily all-band reports, mainly SWBC, also VHF/UHF, sometimes, utility, ham, which may be found in several archives without much delay, such as

These logs are in four sections, Canada [if any], Oklahoma [if any], rest of USA [if any], unidentified [if any], separated by ======= Within each, they are in frequency order

** U S A. 650, Oct 31 at 0005 UT, roughly equal mix of WSM and KGAB Cheyenne, mentioning Wyoming, making SAH of 28/minute = 0.47 Hz. Weather for WY, CO, NM and UT, which I thought was KGAB, but WSM also with far-flung weather (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1560, Nov 3 at 0635 UT, Vietnamese man talking briefly above the pileup, so that`s KGOW Bellaire TX in its latest format flip (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1710 kHz, Oct 31 at 0605 UT check, can make out the screaming service from Radio RetÃn lo que Tienes, the pirate from BÃton Rouge LA which is in no hurry to get busted. Also considerable 1710 carrier, presumably this, circa 0200 UT Nov 1. It was first being reported locally on FM back in March also claiming to be on 1710 then, but only in last month is being DXed, so must have beefed up their MW output (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
