That caught me in baseball season.  Right at midnight, a domestic station
played the Venezuelan anthem in honor of some ball player as part of some
awards program.  I think I heard some followup audio from that station that
led me down the correct path.  It was just coincidence it played at
midnight.

However, it's quite likely you did hear Venezuela.  Darn few hispanic hockey
players these days..
