I do report hearing carrier signals and heterodynes to the group simply to indicate propagation conditions at my QTH. But I don't claim them as new stations heard unless there is something more than a whistle. That is why my total stations logged is no greater than it is. I've definitely heard more whistle and whines than identified stations in my nearly six decades of DXing.
