Patrick,My experience with car radios has been not 100% but pretty much the older the better. My folks had a 1960 Chevy when I was in High School and the radio in it far outperformed any of the radios in newer vehicles. I lived in Tucson at the time and I could, especially in the winter hear KOMA at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The AM radios in most aftermarket car stereos are even worse. Steve On 3/15/17 3:58 AM, Patrick Martin wrote:
Jim, I have had a lot of Caravans starting with the 89, then the 97, and now the 2014. Both the 89 & 97 had ignition noise on AM, but the radios were fairly sensitive. This one is nothing to write home about regarding sensitivity. That is one reason I was wondering if there is some adjustment to peak the antenna like years ago. But with so much computer stuff today, there is probably some chip and self adjusts, but I have no clue.
