Re: [IRCA] LW Beacon

Athens is just up the road from me so no wonder I hear the thing day and
night. Is there a sight that lists beacons that can be heard and identified?
Even by a novice like me?

But hey...I DID GET BJT CORRECT WITH JUST A SHEET OF PAPER AND MY EARS!!!!!

221 BJT Athens, GA (nondirectional beacon)
Normal 1020 modulation for the ident, thus you'd hear it in CW mode on 222
kHz. (My list notes that only the upper sideband is heard, which probably
means the beacon is mistuned slightly, attenuating the normal upper and
lower sideband for the ident.)
