[IRCA] TP 16 Jan Victoria version
A much more lively morning than any in the past several weeks. Some
earlier action on the lower band 1300-1400UT mainly, then occasional
blips through 1545UT, when a reasonable sunrise enhancement occurred
on the high band and went on for about 10-15 minutes after
sunrise. Everything today was Asian.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ man in Korean 1603UT, and several other peaks during
sunrise enhancement; several smaller peaks between 1430-1545UT as well
1593 CNR1 man in Chinese 1549UT was likely the biggest peak, but a
number of others noted from 1430UT onwards, with //6125 noted once it
faded in about 1545UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB woman in Japanese 1303UT, but various levels of readability
until 1430UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
828 JOBB man tlaking //774 1321UT
1422 JORF assumed woman in Japanese 1548UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
747 JOIB woman talking //774 1302UT
972 male ballad 1302UT
1377 CNR1 man and woman talking //1593 with slight offset, 1544UT
1386 NHK2 music box s/off 1543UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
594 702 1098 1242 1323 1332 1359 1494 1557 1575 seemed to be Asian
best wishes,
Nick
