[IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 1/16/17
HLAZ on 1566 kHz was heard with a trace of signal at 1332 GMT; barely audible man talking at 1335:30; poor with musical interlude and man talking at 1340; poor with woman talking at 1341 in moderate-to-severe 100 kW XERF splatter; poor-to-fair strength at 1342:30 until close of Japanese language broadcast at 1344:30. It was the first audible signal from across the Pacific this year.
Also, fair strength V7AB carrier signal on 1098 in WTAM slop at 1115-1132.
However, the best news here is the ice storm ended yesterday without any local damage.
