Re: [IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 12-6
Conditions were not particularly good here either, Gary, with the
same two stations topping out the pack. But 747 was a bit of a
star around 1520UT, easily 10dB better than either 740 or 750
domestic channels, and not just a brief peak either. 774 and 828
didn't come close, though they were audible. Actually dug out some
audio on 972 as well. I'll go over the files later, but I suspect it
will otherwise be extreme minimalist DX.
Intriguing, given that your Asiatic conditions are usually better
than Victoria's. (and, Chris Kadlec might chime in on 1053, or the
lack thereof. I believe that they "sign off" just after 1400UT,
which would explain their lack of signal after 1500UT, hi. )
best wishes,
Nick

After a comatose predawn band check a couple of diehard Asians
actually managed some ghostly audio this morning at peak dawn
enhancement. The meager TP propagation was all on the low band as
594-JOAK hit some poor to fair peaks around 1500, and 747-JOIB did
the same around 1505. 693, 774 and 828 only showed up with anemic
carriers, while the usual Koreans on 972, 1053 and 1566 couldn't
even manage that. Such was the story of a pretty dreary morning.
