Re: [IRCA] My Three Favorite TP Logs

Paul, where did you get the information on AFN 1575 power level? PAL
mentions 3 AFN transmitters on 1575 with Iwakuni at 1 kw, Misawa with 0.6
kW, and Sasebo with 0.25 kW. It does seem that Misawa is the usual
suspect, due to their program content (mostly music). I've attached links
to my Dropbox where I've attached several AFN mp3 files, including those
clearly where 2 or more cochannel AFN stations are heard, slightly out of
sync, resulting in an echo. The last one is a bigger clip. After 12:00
or so, you can hear one AFN fade down, to be replaced by another. Then it
fades back up, with a nice "The Source" ID at about 14:00 into the
recording. Very strong, aren't they! All the clips are recorded in
Masset.

The first file was recorded on 17 October, 2015 at 15:00 UTC. One can
clearly hear multiple transmitter sites:

Next is 1575 with a "AFN Rainbow" ID at 16:30 on 9 March, 2015.

Next, is AFN with a nice AFN The Source ID at 17:00 on 9 March 2015.

Finally, I attach a long mp3 file showing the strength of AFN as heard in
Masset. Lots of IDs, especially for Gravity on AFN. I did faintly hear
Yankee Doodle Dandy as well, coming from VOA in Thailand.
