Among the more interesting things noted in the last few days - times UTC:
720 Canary Islands woman in Spanish // 621; initially fair then submerged into jumble (14 OCT / 2258)
1100 R. Globo Brazil dominant (14 OCT / 0059)
760 WEFL FL ESPN Deportes semi-regular lately with usual WORA / WJR / Colombia / Brazil / Cuba hodge-podge (16 OCT 2359)
540 Dominican Republic HICM R. ABC (16 OCT / 2359) becoming semi-regular in mix with WFLF / Cuba / Colombia on south antenna
850 Colombia R. Candela rolling over the usual WEEI / WFTL mix. (19 OCT / 0000)
720 unID Arabic female vocal (23 OCT / 2159)
711 W. Sahara has been huge - shrill female vocal, man giving speech in Arabic. Stronger than 710 WOR NY. On frequency, unlike old days when on about 711.1. (23 OCT / 2201)
917 Nigeria dance music to fair peak, better than 918 Spain. (23 OCT 2202)
864 Egypt Koranic chant good peak (23 OCT / 2302)
700 Ecuador R. Sucre briefly atop (26 OCT / 0000)
Many of the more routine stations have been heard and I have several unID's to submit to RealDX.
Detailed logs and some audio links should be posted in about a week as numerous DXers are preparing for DXpeditions.
Right now 2130-2300 UTC (5:30-7 p.m. EDT) looks like TA prime-time and the Latin Americans are good right after that.
