[IRCA] Victoria B.C. versus Puyallup, WA TP's for 10-22

Listening session 1320 until 1425 UTC

As Walter and Gary pointed out - there was something moderately special
going on this morning.

It was not stellar and it was around the same quality as yesterday - with
maybe slightly heftier signal strengths.

I took a more relaxed approach to it, ignoring some of the channels that
would have predictable results while
in search of something different.

So - (like Nick's format...) channels with fair, easy to copy audio:

558 ( // to 603 Korea) with light duty Korean pop music
567 Japan (not quite equal in umph to 594 Khz...)
603 like its 558 parallel - quite good at times - especially approaching
sunrise.
702 NHK2 pairs - at pretty passable levels
711 (UNID) Japanese or Korean at good levels at time - hammering away at
710 louder than migrant workers on a Trump tower.
747, 774, 828 - Cluster of NHK stations at very, very good levels at time -
improving as LSR approached
855 DPRK (T) assuming the strident choral rant-chants occasionally at poor
to fair levels
873 NHK - JOGB - at decent levels on and off during the sesh
945 and 954 former a bit of a mash up / not quite enough to be 100% on
language and latter definitely Japanese...
963 China in Russian language at better than usual levels at times
972 Korea - not quite pinning the S-meter but not far off - reaching some
of the best levels of the last few weeks.
1053 Korea - Jam on at fair levels but nowhere near the early September
levels
1098 Various - "Yuge" carrier, the biggest of carriers... with a very
confidant sounding Chinese or Japanese speaker underneath....
an interesting phenomenon that I have noticed of the last few days -
where the Marshall Islands plows the road and you can
 hear stuff underneath... usually talking.
1188 NHK(t) Assume the chatty Japanese speaker at various passes.
1206 Yanbian, China - during momentary breaks in 1200 Khz talking and
splash generation, this was utterly in the clear - at an almost HiFi
quality - solidly in Korean.
1242 Commercial Japanese - at good levels at times.
1278 " " " " " " " at poor to fair levels at time
1287 " " " " " " at good levels
1566 Korea - very, very good earlier in the sesh but lost its strength
after 1405 or so.
1575 Thailand - assume the language speaker here - poor to fair

-----=====-----=======

Occasional words here and there, occasionally rising to poor to fair levels
with brief copy...

576, 621, 639, 648, 657, 693, 738, 756, 792, 819, 837(JJ), 846, 882, 909,
918, 936, 1008, 1017, 1026, 1062,
1323, 1386, 1503...

Scads of carriers - but almost no sign of anything DU.

RECEIVER - Drake R8
W/NW Flag + N/NE Flag
Lankford/Misek Phaser (Ratzlaff constructed)
