Re: [IRCA] TPs this morning/graveyarders

Mike,
I uncarefully select stations also. The list here has somewhat helped me to overcome that problem.  I should give thanks now to the DX'ers who have posted catches that I later received.  Like you say:  The graveyards certainly have the ability to put someone to sleep or cause temporary insanity as in my case. I don't know what's worse, a solid hour of a gargle of un-determinable voices or that of finally hearing an ID that sounds like twelve different stations or sounds like no such station at all.  I was just wondering...if graveyarders are worse on the EC than on the WC. ie population / station densities.

So here's silly for you.  When I go to bed, I have my headphones on with some frequency that I have uncarefully selected.  If something comes in, the voice recorder is right next to the radio.  If nothing is there, the lull of a graveyard is sure to put me to sleep in a few minutes.  I thought you'd get a laugh out of that one.

When I turn on the radio, I check eastern, northern, and TP characteristics.  Vancouver was equal with Dinuba on 1130, Calgary and Tempe on 1060, nothing coming in from Alaska, no hets, no WHO, no WOAI, no KRVN.  The best I could hope for would be a graveyard poking his 250-watt head up.  The sleep was more important.
