[IRCA] TP 28 Sep Victoria version

The Asians didn't quite give up the ghost, but the SDR had to get up early to hear one.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not quite, though several came close

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

531 4KZ surprise of the morning, briefly quite clear 1339UT with commercial "full time position exists at our Innisfail office", woman saying "all day, every day, more music, more variety, more favorites...." which Bill Whitacre heard at Sans Souci last summer and tracked down to 4KZ.
594 3WV man in DU English 1243UT //612; often quite good strength this morning
594 JOAK woman talking Japanese, pips 1100UT, man mentioning NHK
612 4QR two men in DU English 1352UT //702
621 3RN man talking //576 1337UT, strong enough to hear in LSB even with a big het from 620 702 2BL two men in DU English 1352UT //612; heard fairly well as early as 1100UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

576 2RN woman talking DU English //621 1242UT and other times later
774 3LO man in DU English, // 702 1102UT, and other times later
891 man in DU English, mentioned Australia 1059UT, but nothing significant at 1100UT, so 5AN?

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

549 2CR man talking, briefly //594 1314UT, again 1355UT, //612 man and woman talking 567 RNZ National? man and woman talking 1328UT, not parallel to man and woman on 612
585 7RN man talking 1101UT //774, presumably sharing ABC news feed?
828 3GI 6 pips, ABC fanfare 1400UT
846 2RN jazz //576 1334UT
1053 jammer, even today, 1157UT and 1256UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

675 693 729 756 1098 1386 1548 1593

best wishes,

Nick
