This is just an
interesting observation...around 6:30 pm EST on SUN nite, I ran errands and did
a bandscan on the car radio while driving...hets from medium to weak on 531,
549, 558 ,585, 621, 693, 711, 729, 738, 792, 819, 891, 909, 981, 1008, 1017,
1035, 1089, 1134, 1215, 1467, 1521.
Gee whiz! I must
leave it to those of you who have snazzy receivers, superduper skycatchers, and
polished skills to actually pull identifiable audio out of these, and I enjoy
reading the reports from those who do. But I'm in awe of just being able to hear
all these hets on an ordinary car stereo (bottom-of-the-line Pioneer supertuner)
while driving around our little town in SW PA. It shows how diverse our hobby
is...something for everyone.
