Subject: TA reception in Missouri last night

Lots of weak carriers detected in SSB mode last night on the little Sony
7600GR, but the only one producing audio was RNE-1 on 684, with
Spanish-language talk between man and woman around 0320 UTC (10:20pm
CDT), a pop song in Spanish right before 0330 (10:30pm), and discussion
or interview between two guys after 0330. Not real strong, but quite
steady, none of the long fading these kind of long-haul signals
sometimes exhibit, and audible whether in full AM mode, synchronous-AM
(upper sideband to get away from KFEQ-680 slop) or ECSS in upper
sideband. In fact, it was some of the cleanest audio I've ever had from
this station.
