Clear Channel has 79 CHR stations, including CHurbans, 4 are in unranked markets, and 4 are outside of the top 250 markets.  So they have 70 stations in this format in the top 50 markets. Your figures are off by 350%.

Clear Channel does not have anywhere near a majority of CHRs. There are around 400 of them in the US, so CCU has about 15% of them.

CC has a virtual monopoly on the Contemporary Hit Radio format...they own CHR stations in 247 of the nation's top 250 markets. Which really squeezes out local artists.
