[IRCA] IBOC - a request

Can we please drop the ongoing anti-IBOC diatribes, people? (I'm no 
fonder of it than any of us, I even posted, a long time ago, that if 
I were thinking conspiracy, this is exactly the trick I'd pull to 
wipe out half the AM competition.)

However, radio's in business to make money, "Public Good" doesn't 
exist any longer, get used to it. If IBOC makes money, it'll stay 
around. If it loses money, it'll be gone. Real Fast.

In either case, we DXers ought to remember that we're really just 
enjoying our opportunistic hobby. Radio doesn't exist for us only. As 
a matter of fact, it doesn't exist for us as DXers. Period. Enjoy 
what you can, while you can, let's get off of our high horses and 
remember that our hobby is a purely incidental thing that has nothing 
to do with the *business* of radio. Quit acting as if it does.

Leave 'em alone to make their money. Or not, as the case may be.

Enjoy our hobby while we can for as long as we can. Remember * that 
it's an unintended side effect* of the business that so many on the 
various lists venomously decry and deride.
