Hi Craig:
I hope all is well with you down there.
I was reading your last post when I noticed where you said you had added
"Bryant rf chokes" to your coax feed lines. Obviously you did this for a
reason, was it to reduce pickup by the coax or to reduce noise? Or something
else? I'm just about to do it to mine in an effort to reduce power line
noise which seems to get worse every winter. I have yet to wind the chokes,
but otherwise everything else is done. Did the chokes make any difference to
your situation?
Don't feel bad about not hearing anything from 1314. Conditions for TA's to
western north America have been far from good this season. I have yet to
hear my first TA. So far all I've heard is some very faint carriers on
longwave shortly after nightfall, and they didn't stay around very long.
Nothing at all on MW. This is very different from last year where I was
hearing TA's in late August.
Take care down there.
Mike
