[IRCA] Reply to Pete Taylor - Terk Loop info

> Sony SW55, Terk Loop

Mark, I don't recall reading a report from you before.
Thanks for
submitting it. Also, I have never heard of a Terk
Loop. Could you
fill us in as to manufacturer, year, and
characteristics?

Thanks.

Hi Pete!

First posting to the IRCA site. I am a member, but
mainly just lurk the messages.

The Terk loop - is just the Terk AM 1000 loop that I
bought off of Amazon.com. I didn't see it on the Terk
website, but I think you can still find it out there
somewhere. I'm not sure how it stacks up against a
Select-Antenna, but I imagine it to be pretty close in
performance. It was my first antenna, and I have been
using it with my Sony SW55 for about a year now, and
have been very happy with it. I also have a Q-Stick,
and a home-cooked 4' box loop that I use to listen
from here in Chandler, AZ. I mainly use the Terk in
conjunction with the Q-Stick - it works really well -
but a lot of gymnastics involved between them and the
radio!

Thanks for the welcoming words!
