I've been dredging through the frequencies, reacquainting myself with AM after my first summer of FM DXing. A few nice surprises last night and tonight...
KVNA - 600 - Flagstaff AZ - broadcasting a Independence High School football game on Friday night; new logging
KNWH - 1250 - Twentynine Palms CA - Coast to Coast AM (not listed on the C2C web site) on Saturday night
KNWT - 1270 - Thousand Palms CA - over the top of frequency-owner KBZZ/Sparks NV; new calls for me
XEB - 1220 - Mexico City - clear presence Friday and Saturday nights; usually owned by KNTS/Palo Alto and KHTS/Santa Clarita; new logging
KXPS - 1010 - Thousand Palms CA - doing battle with CBR/Calgary
KZSB - 1290 - Santa Barbara CA - very rare here though they're only 300 miles or so away; new logging with these calls
Only KZSB is exceptional (to me), but definitely a lot of southwestern stations present.
