Charles, As I recall the Kenwood R-5000 does not have an 'IF Out" on it's rear apron. The Kenwoods had different IF's than the more common 455 kHz IF Out's as used buy very common, and very good gear such as the SE-3 Sync Unit from Sherwood Engineers. Take a Look a Sherwoods web site as Rob will have the IF info plus what is needed to convert the IF Out to what you may need. Rob Sherwood has most of the popular SWL rigs, and their IF's listed on his most educational web site.
