Re: [IRCA] DX TIPS for WDXR plus 1340 question

Good Morning All,
You guys did some good research.  Some MoR religious programming was noted earlier, but I don't know if it was connected.  Overall I think I heard too many conflicting things. I originally said the second set of call letters sounded like KTFK so I checked out what rhymes with that (except the first 'K', hi)  The last letter was mush.  So it might have been KVSN which I had written earlier as a possiblity, but I didn't know about the connection with KMBI.  I heard the double ID again later, but the %#$! call letters sounded just the same, hi. Right after that, very faintly, I heard a mention of several western states, ie. UT, CA, AZ,... so that may have been a promo. for a program that was starting up.

The other big thing is that I logged KTSN- Elko for the first time and that rhymes.  It was clear enough and mentioned news-talk, Rush Limbaugh etc. But it doesn't jive with the dual ID thing.  All this in a tight null of KLOO, which put the loop facing N/S with inner loop tilting slightly to the east, so the directionality is somewhat questionable. Any of the possible catches would have been good ones. (I'll take' em, hi.)  In the end, I really like graveyard DX, but sometimes it can be a headache, particularly with a local on the freq.
Thanks for your help.

I always like a challenge, so I did some poking.  Moody Bible Institute runs KMBI/1330/Spokane and KVSN/1340/Tumwater according to their web site.  Didn't notice any other stations (focusing on the west) that would fit the criteria.
