Re: [IRCA] "Grapevine" Deadline Reminder

Hi Thomas and welcome to IRCA!

"Hearing it Through the Grapevine" is a regular column that features a
particular 'target frequency and State'. For instance, this upcoming
Grapevine features 570 kHz and the State of Florida.

Each issue of the Grapevine features a different frequency and State.

Members send me lists of stations they've heard recently and through the
years on that particular frequency and in that particular State.

Although the member may have a QTH nowhere NEAR the targeted State, and
has not heard a station here, the frequency is National - and everyone
can hear stations at their QTH on 570 kHz (for example).

Some members, Mike Hardester comes to mind, were in the military and
moved all over the globe - so he's put up some nice logs over the years.

The member's who have kept logs of their receptions, whether they've
QSLd the stations or not, are the contributors. Of course a member can
just go about listening and logging from Grapevine to Grapevine. It's
fun to do and everyone seems to enjoy it.

When contributing I ask for the name and address of the member plus
equipment and antenna(s) used. Members like to know this - it kind of
gives some an idea of whether they can receive, with THEIR equipment,
what other's are hearing at heir particular QTH.

I look forward to hearing from you - whther it's just one or two logs or
a bunch, they are always welcome in my mailbox.

Be well and 73 de DX de NY,

Ray

Subject: [IRCA] "Grapevine" Deadline Reminder

I hope everyone is enjoying the hot, muggy summertime - I personally am
waiting for October, Hi

This is just a reminder that Saturday July 16th @ 1500 EST is my next
Grapevine deadline for 570 kHz and the State of Florida.

And I thank everyone for their great support of the column.

73 de DX de NY,  Ray
