Mike,
Its amazing what you can get away with when you have market share. And because they have market share, there are an ever-increasing number of technical people who become acclimated to the MS version of reality.
I have been trying to steer a friend away from using Internet Exploder and Lookout Express for a long time. Last week, he got a virus which took me 9 hours to eradicate from his box. All caused by IE's link all the way to the operating system kernel, and OE choosing to provide a comfortable user experience rather than implementing tighter security. He is FINALLY using Firefox browser, Spybot, and web access to his email.
