The part that sucks big time is that WHSR 970 Haitian format, isn't the only IBOCer within a few miles of my location.
WSBR 740, right here in Boca, is also running IBOC as a fidelity boost to their "Money Talk" format. Both stations appear to share a transmitter location, assuring me the best possible digital radio enjoyment.
These two along with WWNN 1470 Talk, also licensed along with WHSR in Pompano Beach but transmitting from a different location a few miles farther away, are all on IBOC and all owned by the same company. That is three IBOCers within 10 miles of me.
Then there is WQAM 560 Sports, in Miami, the farthest from me at 40 miles. Four IBOCers all within 40 miles and not one with a format that could possibly benefit from digital audio. Maybe WHSR plays some ethnic music, but all I've ever heard is talk, unintelligible, but talk none the less.
The only Florida IBOCer I don't hear regularly is WFLA 970 Talk Tampa, yet another whose format does not benefit from IBOC.
I doubt there are many locales in the country that have such thorough High Definition digital audio coverage...lucky me! Money talk, sports talk, Haitian talk, and just talk talk...what a line-up.

980 WHSR is loud and IBOCing away, heard from here in Boca.
The part that sucks is that the stations are transmitting and there are no radios.
