IIRC, the most powerful of the Greenland MW stations is on 720 kHz. Even if
WGN were to have an opportune silent period, I would imagine CHTN and the
flea powers that are on at night on 720 would cause enough interference to
prohibit logging of that station. And if IBOC were to be allowed at night
before those Greenland stations go dark, that would just about settle the
issue. Without IBOC or the flea powers or CHTN being on, it would certainly
be possible to hear that station. I have logged one Greenland LW NDB here
in N.E. MN. And I believe Robert Kramer in Chicago has logged at least one
Greenland NDB. [there's a name out of the past]. So a 20kw MW station
should certainly be possible on a clear channel.
