Hi Everyone:
Last night DXers on the west coast were hearing
audio whereas all I could hear were the carriers. For a short period this
evening I had audio on 20 frequencies and carriers on a further 48. In most
cases the audio was poor with very rapid shallow fades. The best of the bunch
were all 3 of my regulars on 1053, 1134 and 1314. Unfortunately the opening was
short lived and by 21:00MST the audio was gone leaving only faint carriers on a
few frequencies. All times given are UTC.
162 France Allouis 03:35 2 men
talking in French. Poor very noisy signal.
189 Iceland presumed here at 20:33 with
a man singing. Again a very poor noisy signal
675 Unknown 03:26 with piano music and
a male singing in English. Possibly Holland. Much slop from KBOI
765 Unknown 03:24 with a musical
ensemble singing. Signal poor so I was unable to get the language.
837 Unknown 03:21 with jazz music
followed by a man talking. Signal was rapidly fading in and out so I could not
understand the language used. Possibly a second station underneath.
855 Unknown 03:20 Man talking. Could
not make out the language being used. Poor signal
864 Unknown 03:19 with faint music. A
very rapidly fading signal. Posibly a second station underneath with
chanting.
873 Unknown 03:16 with a man
talking - possibly in French, but nothing listed, followed by classical music.
Faint second station underneath.
936 Unknown 03:13 with a Madonna
record. No idea who this could have been other than Germany. No talking heard.
Fair at times.
972 Unknown 03:07 with music that
sounded very much like the Beatles, but I'm not sure. Very poor
signal
1008 Unknown 03:05 with a Madonna record. Probably
Holland as I've heard them here in the past. Fair signal at times
1035 Unknown 03:03 with a woman talking in what
sounded very much like Spanish, so possibly Portugal. This was followed by a man
singing. Poor signal at best
1125 Unknown 02:58 with faint music. 3 time pips at
TOH followed by a female talking. The time pips were very clear, whereas the
language used was not. Poor
1143 Unknown 02:57 I could just make out a man
talking here. Very poor signal
1215 Unknown 0255 with very faint music. Possibly
Virgin Radio from the UK as this has been heard here several times in the past.
Poor at best
1053 England Talk Sport Radio 02:42 with 2 men
talking in English. Very clear Talk Sport ID at 03:02 Fair at times
1134 Croatia presumed here at 02:43 with a
woman talking in a Slavic sounding language. Fair to good at times
1314 Norway presumed here at 02:44 with a man
talking in the Danish language. Fair at times
1377 Unknown with faint music at 02:48. Possibly
France as this has been heard here several times in the past, though I was
unable to find any parallels, and usually there are at least 2 or 3, sometimes
more.
1548 Unknown with a man singing at 02:52. Possibly
the UK, but who knows?
I also heard carriers on the following frequencies:
153, 198, 531, 549, 639, 684, 693, 747, 756, 774, 819, 846, 882, 909, 918, 927,
945, 954, 963, 981, 1026, 1044, 1107, 1116, 1152, 1179, 1188, 1197, 1206, 1224,
1233, 1242, 1269, 1287, 1296, 1305, 1332, 1341, 1386, 1404, 1422, 1458, 1467,
