[IRCA] Re: TONIGHT'S DX TESTS

I just wanted to say a rousing "THANK YOU" to all of the
individuals who helped arrange the 4 DX tests this past
weekend.  From what I've been reading in my e-mail, many
folks from across the US were able to pick up a little,
if not most, of the tests.

I tried for the WTTB-1490 test, but with a local on 1480
(KLVL Pasadena), it was hard getting through their splash,
even with my ICF-SW55.  I heard "something" but nothing
like code IDs ... Strike One!

I then tried for the WOKY-920 test.  This time, a semi-local
blowtorch on the same frequency (KYST Texas City) didn't let
me hear anything (except them, of course).  Honestly, I think
they must radiate through every piece of metal in my house,
because that's all I heard ... Strike Two!

I then tried for the WISN-1130 test.  I could hear something
beneath KWKH, but it was in Spanish, so I figured it wasn't
from Milwaukee ... Strike Three!

It was way late, and I felt another migraine coming my way,
so I went QRT for the night.  I don't have a local on 1240,
and I was really hoping I could snag KEVA, but alas, I would
not have been able to focus much with my migraine.

So, hat's off to all who were able to get the tests!
Maybe next time for me.
