Conditions here today were kinda different. Between noon and 1.30pm MST many Utah stations were coming in with good signals. Of course the power house on 1160 was in, but then so were less frequently heard stations like KALL-700, KWDZ-910, KANN-1120, KZNS-1280 and KLO-1430. However the one that caught my attention the most was the one under 1010-CBR. After nulling CBR down as much as I could I heard many "KCPW Salt Lake City ID's." My NRC logbook shows this as being licensed to Tooele. Additionally, the DX Monitor (Vol 42 #2) lists it as being silent. It definitely wasn't silent today. New for me. Weather conditions at the time were light snow and temperature around 19C or 2 degrees below zero.Mike in St Isidore AB with AOR 7030 & 150' EWE_______________________________________________
