Local TIS stations in Victoria? Tell us more please! 73, Tim Hall
Well....Port Angeles is about 17 miles as the crow flies, so perhaps
semi-local would better describe it, but that nice salt water path makes
it an easy catch. But lately, there has been another one, WVNA814, giving
it fits at night, warning the residents of Jefferson and Clallam counties
about increased enforcement of speed limits etc on the county highways.
When conditions are really good "ADK", the beacon on Adak Island
(unbelievably listed at 25w) can provide a soothing backdrop, but hets from
529 (beacon "SQM" Level Island, AK) and whoever might be on 531 are more
likely, as has been RVC on Turks and Caicos, at least this season.
best wishes,
Nick
