Doug,
I just looked at the C.Crane link that you posted. Agreed that the radio would be a throw-away part of this item, and that leaves a recorder that costs $160. The page says there is a 32MB "drive" in it. If it is a drive and not RAM, I would be concerned with drive functionality unless the recorded is treated gently at all times. You might consider two other options...
1. Radio Shack has Olympus voice recorders starting at $40 that can record 45 minutes at the highest quality and 2 hours at the lowest quality. Higher-priced Olympus models can record for up to 3 hours (high Q) or 8 hours (low Q). You can plug radio headphone outpit into the MIC input of the recorder for a direct link (unless there is an impedance issue...not sure there).
2. Everyone always forgets the most obvious solution...take radio output into the audio line in jacks of a VCR. You can get up to 8 hours of audio in the slowest mode.

Hi All,
I just came across an item that C.Crane sells and am wondering if anyone has utilized or considered this item in they're shack to record DX? It's called a Pogo- Radio YourWay- AM/FM Radio and Recorder.(corny name) The radio, I could care less about. Is there anything out there that's similar to this item and it's description that could do the same job? Do you think that this would do the work of a cassette player? ie. copy, replay, replay, replay, copy etc... hi.
Thanks 73- Doug
