Hi,
I think Patrick is thinking of a vertical loop, where you'd get the normal
bi-directional response. And I think Bruce is thinking of a horizontal,
omnidirectional loop, like his own 160M loop. Make the vertical loop as
large in circumference as you can, to keep get the sensitivity a little
better without a preamp, and as large in radius too.

Well, that's the problem. Without phasing, I don't know how you'd get any
directionality from a small, untuned loop. Nick?
