Cassettes are still the way to go...although the price of compact disc recorders have gone down. Mini-Discs are used almost exclusively by broadcasters. I worked at a radio station that used Mini-Discs almost exclusively for their commercial load (WFUN-FM 95.5 Bethalto, IL).
