WRTH 1430 St. Louis, MO ended a 15-month run with '50s and '60s Oldies, and has returned to an Adult Standards format and "1430 Worth" slogan. The mornings are still live with Johnny Rabbitt, while the rest of the day comes from Westwood One. Midday DJ Pat White remains as the commercial voice, while afternoon drive jock Paul Jeffries returns to part-time status on country-formatted sister station WIL 92.3. WRTH and WIL are both owned by Bonneville International, along with WVRV 101.1 (Modern AC) and WSSM 106.5 (AC/Jazz).
Unlike the last go-round with the format, the station has FM competition this time. The main competitior in this format is Emmis' WRDA 104.1, known on the air as "Red at 104.1". The format change leaves St. Louis without an outlet for rock and roll hits from the '50s and '60s; Clear Channel's KLOU 103.3, while claiming to be "Oldies Radio", actually programs a soft Classic Hits format, with pop hits from the mid-'60s through the end of the 1970s.
