[DX] RTE testing out Orban Optimod 9200 on 252 Long Wave (fwd)

Aikaisemmin oli keskustelua Kööpenhaminan konferenssista 1948
ja miten radiotaajuuksia siellä jaettiin.
Yksi allokoinnin periaate on ITU:ssa se, että maa kykenee osoittamaan
käyttäneensä tiettyä taajuutta.
Suomi ei ole käyttänyt pitkäaaltotaajuutta 252 kHz yli 10 vuoteen.
Irlanti sen sijaan on lähettänyt siinä jatkuvasti ja siitä ollaan
tekemässä maan pää-AM-kanavaa.  Ks. alla oleva viesti.
Tällä menolla Irlanti on viemässä Suomen pitkäaaltotaajuuden.

RTE are testing a new Optimod 9200 with version 3 software on 252 Long Wave
over the next days/weeks and are looking for reception reports which can be
sent via www.rte.i.e. (Digital Spy).

RTE are currently using 300kw daytime 100kw nightime on 252, they've just
added a new Optimod audio processor, so the audio is now much louder which
should help with DX' ing the station outside Europe.

It sounds much better and should greatly improve reception of RTE Radio 1 in
the UK (Paul Strickland, Longwave Message Board)
