UNID. 6295 Definite carrier here at 1044. Wonder if it was a Europirate
coming in late. (22 Nov.)
LATVIA 9290 Latvia Today 1145 tlk by usual W host abt Latvian elections.
1146 Pop mx. W w/short feature apparently on architecture. Soft vcl song
in presumed Latvian. Nice clear 100% copy canned ID at 1155 followed by W
anncr w/goodbyes, and more mx. Deadair at 1200 check. Pretty decent
signal, sometimes peaking at S-7. (22 Nov.)
UNID. ASIAN 6215 UNID. Someone w/possible lang. lesson at 1204 w/W
repeating every sentence in CH-like dialect. Definitely an Asian. Who
could this have been?? (22 Nov.)
BHUTAN 6035 BBS 1207-1215 nx in Dzongkha (I guess according to sked) by
M. Pulled up their Web site and was listening to the live streaming audio
which also had a M anncr speaking over much lower lcl instru. mx. Voice
tone sounded just a little different than on the radio. Distinctive mx
bridge at 1215 which was positively recognized as the same abt 15 seconds
later on their streaming audio!!!! W anncr then, definitely the same and
absolutely no doubt, followed by beautiful lcl vcl song by W. Same W anncr
returned at 1220. Weak of course and with some slop-over QRM from 6040 and
apparent 6025 DRM. If not for their streaming audio, I could never have
identified it. Great to hear them again after many years. Wonder if
they'll be able to confirm via MP3 audio file. (22 Nov.)
