[HCDX] Trying to find DXers from 1960s
Recently the Medium Wave Circle has been trying to re-establish contact with
some of its early members because we are trying to find archive material
from the early years of the club and we would like to hear of stories &
anecdotes from former members.
We have a list of about 120 names from the mid-1960s. Of these we've already
located and contacted 30%. Amazingly most are still involved in radio after
40 years!
We would welcome some assistance with a few members who lived outside of the
UK in the 1960s. Namely:
Maurice Cross Timaru, New Zealand
Rolf Blodorn Allendorf, Germany
K C Nieman Helsinki, Finland
E Nilsson Sweden
P O'Donohoe Claremorris, Mayo, Eire
Gunter Jacob Germany
Robert Ronai St James NSW Australia
We also think one of the founders of the Circle, Arthur M Levi, moved from
Belfast to Israel (but I have no more intelligence).
Do you know if these DXers are still with us in 2006?
Are they still active?
I'd welcome any information on how to reach them.
Or perhaps you can pass on this message to them.
Please reply to me with an suggestions or information OFF LIST at
editor@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks very much for your help.
