[HCDX] NA Pirate, San Miguel, Alvorada, Educacion, Santa Monica

PIRATE (NA) 6934.88 R. Six 0106 M w/anmnt including ID, and old Rock
mx. Amazing strength on the T2FD antenna but no greater than half as
strong on new 102' NE-SW Windom. (Valko 10 Sept.)

BOLIVIA 4900.4v R. San Miguel 0925-1000, Live band mx at t/in to 0937
muffled canned ID anmnt w/FM, MW and SW freqs (in that order) by M, then
long promo w/ment of power, and ad mentioning just abt every Provinica in
Bolivia. Live M at 0941 briefly then back to mx. Pretty nice signal,
better on the Windom than T2FD. A bit noisier however. Freq drifted down
from 4900.44 to 4900.40 fairly quickly and seemed to stabilize. (Valko 11
Sept.)

BRAZIL 4964.98 R. Alvorada 0927, ZY Pops. Nice full canned ID w/MW and
SW freqs by M at 0931, then many ads. Live M anncr took phone calls. TC
and shouted "Bon Dia!!" 3 times and ment of Amazonia. Good signal on T2FD
although a little fady. Dropped way down by 1000. (Valko 14 Sept.)

MEXICO 6184.97 R. Educacion Caught EG ID/promo by W at 0050 while
tuning through. Gave Web site URL also. "...R. Educacion shortwave brings
you the best of Mexicos cultural ?? ". Good of course. (Valko 15 Sept.)

PERU 4965.83 R. Santa Monica 1004 tlk by live M anncr w/definite ment
of Santa Ana. Into nice OA Huayno mx. Short unreadable canned anmnt, then
1006 live M again w/heavily rolled "R" in "Radio Santa Ana"!! Back to
mx. No doubt, it was "Ana" and not "Monica". Signal wasn't bad w/some
weak QRM from Alvorada below. Good conditions this morning. Not heard the
next morning. (Valko 15 Sept.)
