[HCDX] The wellenforum Shortwave Contest 2006



The wellenforum Shortwave Contest 2006

Between the 9th of June and the 8th of July 2006 the
german Community of "wellenforum" organise a Shortwave
Contest for all short-wave listener from all over the world.

The participation will be online.
The logs should be entered in the form below and send via
e-mail after the contest at contest@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Charge:
No charge for the participation.

Award :
Any Participant will get an certification in form of a JPG
picture send by email.

Valuation:
Logs from radio station broadcasting on shortwave will be
rated. No radio services,clanestines or piracy station will
be accepted.

The valuation occurs in 4 steps,these steps depends of the progression
of the soccer world Cup
Rating points will be between 20 and 100 points.

preliminary round: 20 points
Round of 16: 40 points
quarter-final: 60 points
semi-final: 80 points
final: 100 points

Each station can only once be rated.
If one station is listen twice on the form, then the station
with the lowest points will be rated. That means: Station A will
be be loged in the preliminary round and also in the final,
then you get only 20 points, the 100 points will be wasted then.
Station A will be loged in the final (and only there loged) then
you get of course 100 points.

Final evaluation
If the Station X will be heared from 20 people,the everybody gets
4 points the score will be, according to the floating number,
rounded to an integer number.

Listening schedule:
The contest goes by the progression of the soccer World Cup.
That means that there is a preliminary round, round of the sixteen,
semi-final and final. The score tends depending on the stage.

At the moment we only can give you the stationen of the preliminary
round, these are all 32 countries which are participate in the World
Cup.

Attended time-table:

1. Preliminary round
Between the 9th of June 0000UTC till  the  23th of June 2400UTC
reception of any participating country will be rated.
Points : 20 for each radio country

2. Round of sixteen
Between the 24th of June 0000UTC till 29th ofJune 2400UTC reception
of the countries will be only rated, which are also participating in
the round of sixteen.For each country you will get 40 points.
(16 Countries)

3. The quarter-final
  From the 30th of June 0000UTC till the 3rd of July 2400UTC countries
will be only rated, which are also participating in the quarter final.
For each country you will get 60 points.(8 countries)

4. Semi-Final
Between the 4th and 7th of July 0000UTC - 2400UTC reception are only
accepted from the countries which are qualified for the semi-final.
For each country you will get 80 points (4 countries)

5. Final
Final starts at the  08th of July 0000UTC and close at the 09th of
July 2400UTC. Then only counts the 2 countries,which are in the final.
points: 100 (2 countries)

Please copy this part in the email, do not send it by attachment.

Any station must be listening  at least for 15 min, the content of the
programm should be written down in keywords.

Entries should be in german or english ,other languages cannot be
accepted !


Deadline for the Contest is the 20th of July 2006, 2400UTC.
