[HCDX] Radio Noise from a Hail Storm?

Hi All:

If I'm Dxing out in the car, whenever it starts to hail I start getting this
horrendous RF noise. It starts slowly as it starts to hail with pops and
clicks and then the noise increases in amplitude and frequency rapidly as
the hailstorm increases until it sounds like a buzzing sound like someone
running a high speed drill. Seems to be worse on lower frequencies with no
noise on FM. Does anyone know what this is?
