[HCDX] Mystery time signal on 790 kHz
Hi there guys - I haven't heard any Spanish in the mystery signal on 790
kHzl. There has been no human speech whatsoever, although I haven't been
listening for long intervals. I would be surprised if it is from Cuba -
the signal is quite clear - it does fade from time to time but the
audio quality is very good, and I usually have a lot of trouble with
signals coming from the southern side at my location - the furthest
south I have gotten from my apartment in Brooklyn is WSB in Atlanta and
that is very hard to snag from my location - I get all kinds of
interesting DX from the north but south is very poor.
I think it is a real stretch to get from CHU 7.335 to 0.79 - my hunch is
still that it is a harmonic from a LW marine beacon.
