[HCDX] Colombia-750 ?

750t COLOMBIA, HJDK, Caracol, Medellin 2230 - mention of Colombia. Extremely poor reception with co-channel QRM and local noises. Could have been YVKS (one of the strongest South Americans here) too with Colombia mentioned during news/talk or newscast despite being in Venezuela. In any event, HJDK or YVKS, this is my first South American reception below 910 kHz this season ! (Chiochiu-QC)

I got back from the hospital about an hour ago. I'm not that tired right now, fortunately. During the chemio, I listened to local stations, a special mention to CKOI wich had an interesting show about dreams and nightmares !

DX-wise, the lower half of the AM dial wasn't too active. Even WFAN-660 and WABC-770 were anemic, however Latin signals were ALMOST inexistent. The ALMOST refer to the above reception. The alignement problem is often quite severe; when I move the radio it tunes more correctly, but still I'm at local 690 for exemple, I tune and it jumps on a frequency hundreds of kilohertz away or the audio drops and I hear scracthe instead. Therefore, I need to tune VERY slowly, wich isn't too interesting, since when I DX, I need to jump back and forth between the interesting channels otherwise I'll miss a great catche.

That's it for now !
Be the good DX with you,
Bogdan Chiochiu
