[HCDX] Logs from Tropical bands



Indonesia, 4790, RRI Fak Fak, 0915-0930  Noted the Quran being presented
until about
0917 when a woman and man talk briefly.  This followed with Islamic type
music for rest
of the period.  Signal was good. (Chuck Bolland, June, 24, 2005)

Indonesia, 4870.89, RRI Sorong, 0919-0943  Here too noted Quran being
presented until 0920 when music presented.  At 0930 news presented.  By
0943 when a man is talking in Indonesian, the signal is booming in here
in Clewiston.(Chuck Bolland, June, 24, 2005)

Indonesia, 4604.95, RRI Serui, 0922-0930  Noted a mixture of music
and Indonesian comments from a man.  Signal remained at a fair
level during the period.  (Chuck Bolland, June, 24, 2005)

Indonesia, 4845.21, RRI Ambon,  0930-0941  Everyone wants to use this
freq, but it seems to me that Ambon was here first.  Anyway, noted a man
in Indonesian comments when the audio was readable.  Overall with

Indonesia, 09680, RRI Jakarta, 0935-0945  Noted a man and woman
in comments during the period.  This signal was good while parallel
programming was heard on 11860 KHz with a weak signal. (Chuck Bolland, June,
24, 2005)

Papua New Guinea, Radio East New Britain, 0945-0950  Noted a series of ADs
with
some in English.  After the ads, noted a woman in live Pidgin comments.
Signal was

Papua New Guinea, Radio Manus, 0955-1005  Noted a man in comments and
news.  Signal was poor so could catch which language he was using.  (Chuck
Bolland, June, 24, 2005)
