Australia's SBS Radio launches information CD for the aged:

Australia's SBS Radio has joined forces with a government agency to come up 
with a multilingual users' rights CD that assists caregivers and residents 
in nursing homes across the country.
The project is aimed at supporting residential aged care services, 
particularly giving residents from non-English speaking backgrounds access 
to the same information.
The CD has been produced in Arabic, Cantonese, Greek, Italian and Vietnamese.
It consists of a five-minute radio drama followed by a five-minute 
question-and-answer session, educating users about their options if they 
experience difficulties with their care system.
As well as being available on CD, the 10-minute programs will be aired by 
SBS Radio in all five languages this month to raise awareness of the issue

CASBAA to launch India chapter:
(05 April 05)
The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) today 
announced that it will launch a CASBAA India Chapter as part of its 
regional strategy.
The new chapter will comprise all members of the association that currently 
have representation in the Indian market. It will be chaired by Deepak 
Shourie, the Managing Director of Discovery Networks India.
"We believe it is essential that the pay-TV industry in India has a clear 
voice. We hope that the CASBAA India Chapter will be joined by other 
organisations with our common goals of developing a robust and advanced 
pay-TV market," he said.
The new chapter will also promote initiatives such as the launch of a 
pay-TV sales and marketing training scheme in India by the CASBAA Media 
College, and a series of CASBAA seminars on new technologies supporting the 
pay-TV industry.
CASBAA, an ABU member, will establish a full-time office in India in the

New frequencies for VOA Border Crossing program:
(3 April 2005)
VOA with Border Crossing program now on 3 new frequencies effective 4th 
April. This can be heard at 1500-1600 UTC on 9580 13690 and 15105 kHz in 
parallel with earlier 7125 kHz. (DX-ASIA Website)
