[HCDX] Peru
Peru, 4855.74, Radio La Hora, 1030-1040 Noted a woman in
steady Spanish comments with many mentions of localities in
Peru i.e. "Lima". At 1040 she gives TC, while this is
followed by ID. This signal was at a fair level, but it
kept drifting downwards. (Chuck Bolland, January 10, 2005)
Venezuela, 4939.70, Radio Amazonas, 1050-1100 Noted a man
in Spanish comments until 1054 when canned promos presented.
Many mentions of "Amazonas" during these. When live, TC's
preceeded by two note tones. I am wondering if the two note
tones are randomly keyed and the announcer is required to
give the time when he hears them? Thus the station makes
sure the morning listeners have the time on a regular bases?
Just a thought. Anyone know for sure? ID given on the
hour. Signal was good here in Clewiston Florida. (Chuck
Bolland, January 10, 2005)
Peru, 4955, Radio Cultura Amauta, 1100-1110
Man in conversation with a woman. Language sound as though

"Amauta" only during his comments. Signal here in Clewiston
was fair. (Chuck Bolland, January 10, 2005)
Peru 4964.96, Radio Santa Monica,Tentative, 1110-1120 Noted
a woman in Spanish comments initially, but at 1119 a man
joins her and there's many mentions of "Lima" heard. This

the tone, it seemed to be "inspiratinal" type music. Signal
