consisting of wind instruments and choral-like vocals.
Whisper quiet announcer at 1145. Very poor/noisy
signal slipping under the static by 1200. R.Southern

4635, TAJIKISTAN, (P)R.Dushanbe, 0025-0040, Feb.15,
Vernacular, "Tinny" stringed instrumental. Wind
instrument at 0030 followed by OM continuing thru
t/out. Poor/weak. (Barbour-NH)

4716.6, PERU, (P)R.Yura, 0045-0120, Feb.15, Spanish,
COntinuos ballads and up-tempo music, YL over music at
0113. Ballads resume. Poor/fair. No discernible ID
noted. (Barbour-NH)

4750, SUDAN. R.Peace, 0327-0348, Feb.13,
Vernacular/English, OM w/ talks in language, native
music. Full EG ID at 0348. Poor/fair at best.

4990, SURINAME, R.Apintie, 0250-0312, Feb.15,
Dutch/English, Pop ballads in EG and DT. EG jingle ID
at 0307 re "..great sounds..Radio Apintie-Great!".
Need to review the MD to get the rest. Fair, best

5040.3, MYANMAR, R.Myanmar, 1204-1220, Feb.15,
Burmese, Sub-continent ballad at t/in, YL w/ lengthy
talk, music resumes at 1215. Poor w/ het. (Barbour-NH)

5985.85, MYANMAR, (P)R.Myanmar, 1222-1231, Feb.15,
Sub-continent ballads and YL w/ talks. Up-tempo
instrumental bit at 1230 followed by OM. Poor, need
USB to seperate from 5980-Marti slop. Didn't sound //
to 5040v. (Barbour-NH)

6140, COLOMBIA, R.Lider via R.Melodia, 1059-1114,
Feb.15, Spanish, NA at 1100, As previously reported,
lenghty ID announcement "Bogata, Colombia transmite
Radio Lider.." and "..la cadena Melodia de Colombia"
over dramatic instrumental music. "Ultima de noticias"
prg. Booming signal. Nothing noted at this
time/frequency on Feb.14. (Barbour-NH) 

6940, ETHIOPIA, R.Fana, 0314-0333, Feb.15, Ahmaric, OM
w/ talks b/w varoius Horn of Africa musical bits,
caliope-like music at 0330 w/ IDs. Fair. // 6210-poor.

Ahmaric, IS, ID-s/on announcment, Talk by various
announcers, very nice Horn of Africa ballads and
up-beat music at 0312. Poor/fair w/ lots of
7115-R.Cairo slop at s/on. (Barbour-NH)

7260, VANUATU, (T)R.Vanuatu, 1129-1140, Feb.15,
Vernacular, Fair signal w/ vocal and wind instrumental
ballads. YL b/w selections w/ tentative mention of
Vanuatu at 1131. Unfortunatley I tuned in when
7255-VOA,Thailand signed on creating some splatter
otherwise reception would have been even better.

Tagalog/English,(P)radio drama at t/in thru 1900, OM
and YL listing several SE Asian countries followed by
ID in Tagalog. EG commentary re "equality..working
together" w/ OM giving phone number; "I'll be waiting
for your call, waiting for your letters". Interview in
Tagalog/ EG re "research and developement training
courses" cut off at 1929 for EG ID and frequencies cut
off at 1930* sharp. Fair at best using USB. //
