[HCDX] Medium-wave DXped to Halifax, Canada
I will be heading there next week with
my wife, who has a conference there.
I have decided to ship ahead the basic
components for a passive 4' frame loop.
Being on the East Coast and not
being able to chase medium and long-wave
TA's is too good to resist.
The debate is whether or not to send
the wire and capacitors along with the
boxed wooden parts (2 4' sections of 1" Oak Strip)
via Canada Post or take it with me "checked baggage"
Wood and a few passive metal components seem benign
enough, but in this post 9/11/02 World, one never
knows.
It will be easy enough to ship via the Postal System
as express and it will arrive a day or two after I
get there -- and this is OK by me.
I would love to hear some feedback from some of the
other DXped travel vets out there who have crossed
borders and countries with radios, wires, tools
and gizmos...
Thanks ladies and gents,
