17, Spanish, OM w/ music and talks. No ID noted. Fair
at t/in then rapidly f/out. (Barbour-NH)

3385, PAPAU/NEW BRITAIN, R.East New Britain,
0937-1003, May 17, Vernacular/English?, OM w/ talks in
(P) EG w/ lots of numbers mentioned, Acoustic island
music and chorus, tlks w/ OM and YL, OM at 1000,
pretty sure in parralel w/ 4890 Port Moresby.
Poor/weak, fading by 1000. (Barbour-NH)

7295, MALAYSIA, R4/R.Malaysia, 1022-1037, May 17,
English, Pop music by Shania Twain and Huey Lewis &
The News, OM taking requests b/w selections. Poor,
f/out. (Barbour-NH)

9500, PHILIPPINES, FEBC Bocaue, 1043-1056, May 18,
Mandarin, OM and YL w/ tlks and musical bits. Good
signal until crushed at 1056 by WYFR 9505 IS.

21550, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, R.UNMEE relay,
1119-1130*, May 18, English, YL w/ talk of Kofi Annan.
Vernacular chorus followed by soundbites from Annan
speech re Rwanda massacre, "neighbor killed neighbor"
and YL genocide survivor re "1994 Massacre". Original
YL mentions "UN Mission.." and "International
Service.." followed by brief mx at 1128 then barely
audible OM at s/off. Poor at t/in and deteriorating
rapidly, even in USB/LSB, though able to make out
enough to figure out what I was hearing. Both
surprised and pleased to log this one. (Barbour-NH)

GERMANY, R.Rhino Int'l-Africa via DTK Juelich, 17780,
"QSL Verification of Reception" letter, on orange
colored paper, w/ dates and frequencies of
transmission from "Sept. 2003 to date" from Godfrey
Ayoo, Director RRIA. Letter also mentions Ugandan
crisis, MLK quote and info for donations. (Barbour-NH)
